I do apreciate somebody making an attempt to save all those memories that we all have for our families and loved ones. Some of the biggest facts that I would like to know about my ancestors are lost because none of them saved their memories for future generations. Thank you for your website and efforts.

subject: Thank You!

Pleasantries to all at Cmylife.net.
I came across your site not long ago. My mother and father are older and now they have both had cancer. I spent some time recently down in Mississippi visiting them and recording their stories because your site inspired me more than I can say. I just sat down and talked to them about their life with a digital recorder. I then had their words typed up. I am still working on my fathers story at this time. Now all in my family have access to these stories if they so choose. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate what you have done in words. So now, being a member, I have to work on my own story for my son who is now a teenager. I am sure one day when he is older he will be grateful. Thank you so much for your forethought and existance. I could not and problably would not have done this without you.

What a fabulous concept! I am getting older now and I have a daughter out there somewhere who is now in her 30's. We have been estranged for more than 20 years. I have limited means and no way to reach her. When I came across your site I figured maybe one day she will come looking for her past and can begin to know who her father was. You have my blessings, And thank you for providing me the chance to try reach out to her.

From Patti Schacht
I was very surprised to find mention of Craig Lickner recently while doing some family research on the Lickner family. I am retired and doing research on several branches of my family, including one that intermarried with Craig's family. I was sad to learn of his untimely death. Do you have any photos of him, or could you share any of his stories? I love the idea of your website, to help people preserve their heritage---for the ones who come after us. My husband and I both lost our spouses about 15 years ago, and as soon as we married, I asked him to write a memoir of his early life in his family of origin. We sent copies to all his kids who cherish this history of their father's life.

Keep up the good work you have begun!!
All the best, Patti Schacht

Dear Patti,

While this site is dedicated to the spirit of Craig, unfortunately we do not have any pictures or stories ourselves. If you would be able to email us any information, it would be greatly appreciated. We're glad you've found us, and that we've surprised you!

RE: Craig Lickner Mr Brady- I got the above info from your web registration of CMYLIFE.NET My high school pal, Craig Lickner, showed up your CMYLIFE site, stating he was dead! What a shock. Initially I feared it might be a scam, but according to the SSDI data base, Craig died May 7, 2007. Since he lived in the same Zip code as your registration address, did you know him? How did he die? I am in shock!

Please, any information would be great fully appreciated.
Michael Rutkoski

Dear Michael,

We are sorry to bare bad news, but at least you found out. Even as a neighbor to Craig, through our small talk shared a connection to him. Frankly the news was a shock to us too. On the plus side, however, his passing lead us to build this site. His lasting legacy will now have an impact on many people, and people who contribute their story here can offer the same message to us all.

If the Lickner family decides to provide us pictures and any of his journals, with their permission we will post them. Thanks for spending the time to write us!
